Ravishing Beasts

Taxidermy seems to be taking over the world. Suddenly, every flea market, restaurant, pub, (pseudo)trendy apartment and museum seems to have a life necessity of having a stuffed fox on the mantelpiece, a wall covered with deer heads, elephant foot coffee tables on the living room or, in brightly lit white walled spaces, fantastic animals such as unicorns.

Now there is an excellent book by Rachel Polinquin – and an excellent blog – which explains the reasons, types and functions for the craze.
