Willy Rizzo

“Willy Rizzo and model” by Oliviero Toscani, in a Willy Rizzo frame. (Mallett)

If you reach 84, you cannot say you did not live long. Willy Rizzo, who sadly passed away two weeks ago, could say he lived long and fully. He was a fantastic photographer, a stylish designer and a great dandy, and I had the immense privilege to  meet and work with him. Several obituaries came out – Le Monde, The Telegraph – but Thomas Woodham-Smith who, with Mallett, re-ignited Willy’s career in the past decade, wrote an affectionate farewell in the HuffPost.
